Commander Shepard and her team make it to Peak 15 in their borrowed Mako shuttle from the Port Hanshan garage. Through the snowy blizzards and Geth it hadn't seemed like it might have been possible, but there it finally was...

Once gratefully inside, away from the terrible weather, they still have more headaches to contend with, and are attacked by more Geth, peppered lightly with a few Krogan - all fairly simple to dispatch.

As they wander through the facility an announcement comes on that there has been a lot of damage has been sustained at all Peak 15 facilities, and they don't even have the main power running, let alone anything else.The news just simply refuses to get any better...

Making their way in, they realise things are definitely not what they expected. Turrets look like they're keeping people *in*, there are more Geth lying around the place, and then even more disturbingly, a haord of strange alien spider-lobster things come out of nowhere to attack them and spit deadly poison... It's not been the best of days.

From there, they realise that the place they have come to is eerily empty - devoid of people - as if they inexplicably vanished halfway through their day. When they find the power systems to the mainframe, it looks like a manual boot should work.

It's a shame life is just not that simple...
