Eden Prime is a disaster zone. When they land they are faced with strange flying machines they are unprepared for. One of them gets Jenkins and he goes down... and by the time the fire-fight is over, Shepard finds him dead.
When they press on they find more of the flying machines and NIhlus tells them over the comms that he has found worse.
Further in, a lone survivor is still fighting for her life against the machines. Gunnery Chief Ashley Williams of the 212 shows remarkable skill in staying alive and taking them out. Shepard and Kaidan come to her aid and take her on their team to keep pushing ahead.
