With one set of Geth dispatched, Shepard, Garrus and Miranda face another wave. Pushing forward, they find a fallen Quarian with a working radio - and someone identifying himself as Squad Leader Kal'Reegar to dead air and claiming "Tali'Zorah is secure but [they] need backup".

Shep picks up the radio and identifies herself... the Squad Leader recognises the name immediately and is amazed and relieved to know that someone - especially she - is there to help them. She speaks to Kal'Reegar and finds out why they're there, and how they're doing. He lets her know that he and his men are there to protect Tali with their lives without question... so she must ensure that Tali gets out if they keep the Geth off them.

In another ambush by the Geth, a concrete pillar comes down to block their path. Now not only must they face Geth, but also find some demolition charges to blow a hole into that concrete so they can get to Tali.
