Mass Effect 2
Commander Shepard finds more wreckage... and one which pierces her heart. There is just so much of it... pieces of her old home scattered all over the surface of this lost planet.
The memories continue... Painful ones. Heartbreaking ones...
She stands where Lt. Kaidan Alenko once stood, always looking like he was just waiting for her to come and speak with him. Where he told her he was interested and that he cared... even if it wasn't in so many words as she would have preferred to hear. Where he had not been standing anymore when the Normandy went down...
She finds the last of the remaining dog tags of the deceased crew of the Normandy... now they can finally go home.
And time for her to return to her present... the past can hold no more but pain for her.
With one last look at her first command ship - the ship that helped destroy Saran, was as much of a part of her crew as any one of them aboard it - Commander A Shepard of the Alliance, Acting Captain of Normandy SR-1 Frigate Ship - she turns away.
... Goodbye Normandy...
We loved you.
