In the Eternity Lounge, Shepard comes across a Quarian who has given herself up to Indentured Servitude... or legalised slavery. Shepard strongly disagrees with the practice, but since the situation does seem to be what the Quarian wants, and that it's legalise, Shep agrees to help to ensure the gambling Quarian's service into something that would be useful to her.

Shep wanders over to the unsuspecting Synthetic Insights Rep and talks her into not only taking on the Quarian's servitude contract, but also into letting her go. Both parties seem happy with the contract agreed between them.

On her way back out of Illium, Shep comes across Giana Parasini - Administrator Anoleis' former assistant and undercover Internal Affairs agent on Noveria. Shep is happy to see her again, and reminds her that Giana owes her a beer for getting the evidence to have Anoleis arrested and charged.

However, as they are drinking, Giana's expression strangely changes and she leaves quickly, leaving her a note. Shep reads it and realises Giana has been watching a merchant across the plaza. As requested, Shep acquiesces to Giana's written request and gets the Asari to admit she has illegal schematics. Giani is quite obviously pleased when this idea goes off without a hitch and Shep is successful.

The two celebrate back at their table and talk. Shep likes Parasisni, and she's happy to talk to someone who knows a bit about what it's like to be a woman with a poor background who is successful in a powerful role.
