The Team has fought their way through the Geth and come face-to-face with Colossus. With careful battlefield containment and strategy, it finally goes down, along with the last Geth.

Tali is inside a locked bunker, and she lets them in to get her.

She is upset about the way this mission has gone for her, the amount of good soldiers that were lost to the name of "Research". They wanted to find out why the Haestrom sun was burning up so fast... all they ended with was a bloodbath.

They quite probably would not have made it out alive without Shepard. There are only two survivors out of all of those who had landed, and only two of them are returning to the Flotilla.

In fact, only one is returning. Tali is going with Shepard to the Normandy. She is too hurt and traumatised by watching her entire team die.

On the Normandy, Tali isn't impressed with the people on the ship and snaps sharply at Jacob when he tries to welcome her to the team. She's incensed Shepard is working with them, not undercover, and isn't interested in speaking to anyone else aboard.

After all she had seen from their previous work, it's hard to blame her at all, and Shep does not. She feels the same - but they have to see the bigger picture for now, because the Collectors just simply need to be stopped.
