After leaving the Council meeting, Shepard heads to Commander Bailey's office, where she is vehemently accosted by none other than Khalisah Bint Sinan al-Jilani. Again. The damn woman just can't leave her alone.
After the reporter leaves Bailey's office, Shep speaks to him, and upon leaving, she's called by al-Jilani to interview. Seeing this as the perfect opportunity to get the truth out about the Council to all humanity, for the first time she tells the reporter to ensure that humanity is looked out for... to effectively keep digging and not allow the Council to railroad humans and forget about them.
After watching the reporter leave, she notices James looking out of the window, gazing out at the view of the Presidium. Like her, he's not impressed by it. Understanding that here, they're focusing on pretending nothing outside of this haven exists... including this war.
Tired of it all herself, she heads back to the Normandy. At the Docking Bay, she overhears a Normandy crew member being harassed by a reporter about her and goes to see why. It turns out the reporter, a Ms Diana Allers, has a notable show on the Alliance Network - and she wants an exclusive pass to the Normandy.
Keeping with with her interview with al-Jilani, understanding that coverage was the best thing for this war, recruitment, strength, morale, and information, Shepard agrees to the suggested arrangement with her placed aboard the Normandy... hopefully the exclusive could win them some favours out there.
