Commander Shepard hurries to the Huerta Memorial Hospital, at the Presidium, on the Citadel, to see Kaidan.

On her way through the hospital, she notices Dr. Chakwas speaking to Dr. Chloe Michel. After speaking with her, Shep invites her back to the Normandy, which the Doc takes up immediately and leaves to prepare to re-board Normandy again.

Shep then speaks to Dr. Michel about Kaidan. To her relief, Dr. Michel says his vitals remain strong and that she is optimistic about his recovery, even though he still remains unconscious.

With that in mind, Shep goes to see him. She overhears a couple of doctors talking about his condition... but that it seems his condition was now under control... after it being touch-and-go.

Taking a breath and preparing herself, she goes in. Lying on the bed, seemingly asleep... but unconscious... bruised, battered, crumpled... he looks like it could go either way. She speaks to him, imploring him to come back to her. Hoping that he could hear her. Leaving, she takes one more look at him from outside, then finally brings herself to leave him to the doctors' care.
