The shuttle approach goes terribly wrong and Ryder's shuttle is hit, ripping the shuttle door off, taking her and Liam with it.
They crash land on Habitat 7, surviving only thanks to their Jet Packs and SAM. Ryder's helmet is badly damaged, but is repairable with the Omni-Tool scanner, which saves her life again.
She finds Liam also survived the crash and together they take in this impossibly strange planet they once thought they'd be able to call Home...
