Before attending the Council meeting at the Citadel Tower, Shepard runs into a C-Sec officer named Garrus Vakarian. He also already has strong suspicions about Saren and has investigated him before, but she has no time to ask any questions.

The Council meeting with pointless, because they only believed Saren, who only bothered appearing over hologram instead of attending in person. After, Captain Anderson admits to his past with Saren and just what kind of person he found the Spectre to be, and what the Spectres really are.

Their next point of contact now is Harkin, a disgraced C-Sec officer who spends his time in Chora's Den, the local lap-dance bar in the Wards.
