The search for Fade begins when Shepard takes Garrus, along with Miranda for extra backup, to the C-Sec on the Citadel.

Captain Bailey is apparently well-acquainted with Fade, entirely unable to take him out of business, he hopes that Shepard will be able to take care of him now she's looking for him.

Shep can't resist a spot of shopping as she passes, then makes her way to the Shipping Warehouse, where Fade is known to lurke. To their surprise they find a Volus flanked by two Krogan bodyguards... not exactly what they were expecting. However, once the team shows they're not playing around, the Krogan vanish, and the Volus caves. He volunteers Fade's real location... and drops another name they weren't expecting.

That blast from the past was something they definitely didn't see coming.
