After the circumstances and events of Thane and Kolyat, Shepard heads down to the Life Support System to speak to Thane, once she has given him some time to adjust and take in what's occurred.

She speaks to him about the Drell's history, background, their religion, and their unique relationship with the Hanar. He also explains how he became his assassin, at a very young age, his skills honed for many years until he was 18 and was allowed to begin his career proper. He is proud of his background, his training, and his career choice.

But... as one memory vividly appears to him... he slips out something that may have changed that at some point.
