When Shepard goes to her, she's clearly in distress. Encouraged to tell her story, Jack reveals the reason behind her troubling and rebellious behaviour, her rage and violence, and the origin of her powerful biotics.

The tragic and disturbing story astounds and troubles Shepard. So much so that when Jack insists that she wants to plant a bomb on the derelict Cerberus facility that claimed her childhood and her life thereafter, she almost quite readily agrees to it. Moved, Jack almost shows some emotion at the point where she agrees... quietly acknowledging that she owed the Commander one.
