Ashley works out a way to get over to the other side of the tramway, when Cerberus blocks them out and Liara is unable to hack the system.

When she goes to open the helmet of a Cerberus corpse, she gets a horrible shock - the trooper inside was a husk... almost. She calls Shepard over to see, who is just as repulsed. Ashley uses this time to confront her former commanding officer to air a few more of her concerns about Shepard, which Shep tries to allay.

Whether it worked or not is unclear... but Ashley certainly doens't seem to have any concerns when it comes to fighting alongside her - and she's willing to give her the time to come to terms with everything and eventually move on.
